Annual Stewardship Campaign: Please Enter Your Pledge Online by This Sunday, April 13

Our Annual Pledge Campaign runs from April 6 through April 13, 2025. During this time, we encourage you to to discern how you can support our shared ministry financially during the next fiscal year (July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026).

Read the Invitation to Pledge Letter.

This an invitation to love yourself, each other, and the communities in which our congregation is embedded, to be a part of choosing who and how we hope to be together in the future, and to make plans about how you will share your time, attention, and money with GNUUC next year.

By pledging as generously as you are able, you extend our ministry in a world that needs us now, more than ever.

Please visit https://www.nashvilleuu.org/pledge and pledge as generously as you are able.

Auction 2025 was a Success! Thank you to all who participated!

We are thrilled to share that the Fiesta 2025 Auction raised $8,343, surpassing our goal of $8,000!

This year’s auction was a resounding success — and it was amazing to witness our community come together to make it happen. The event was a true reflection of the power of collaboration, generosity, and shared purpose. Thank you all for turning our vision into reality.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it possible:

-Kris T. for Auctria support and donation entry— a monumental effort!
-Jesse S-S. for thoughtfully assisting with live auction item planning.
-Dan L. for his dynamic and entertaining work as our auctioneer.
-Mirabelle S. and the Tex-Mex food crew for preparing a truly delicious meal (see Maribelle’s Thank You).
-The Women’s Group for crafting beautiful and festive decorations.
-The Saturday Setup Crew for transforming the space by setting up tables, silent auction displays, and live auction items.
-Kris T. and family (again!) for stepping up to ensure a smooth registration, bidding, and checkout process.
-To all who donated, all who attended, and all who bid — your contributions made this event joyful and successful.

Together, we created more than just an auction — we strengthened our community. Thank you!

Annual Stewardship Campaign: Pledge Forms are due!

Our Annual Pledge Campaign ran from April 14 to April 21, 2024. We are still missing about seven pledges from members. Friends and visitors, consider making a Pledge to GNUUC for our July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 Fiscal Year.

This year, we celebrate Greater Nashville Unitarian Universalist Congregation’s 30th Anniversary. In the summer of 1994, we first met as a congregation and were recognized officially by the Unitarian Universalist Association. Since then Greater Nashville has been a home for those seeking a liberal religious community, a place to raise their children, a supportive institution, a gathering of friends.

Now is the time to make a commitment. If you are member, now is the time to strengthen your support. If you are a new visitor, new friend, now is the time to consider joining us and pledging your support — and consider joining us as a member. Reverend Denise would love to talk to you.

By giving our time, our talents, and our money, we can support those in need, and serve as a voice of love, acceptance, and hope in a world that needs to hear these things. Our pledges this spring will resource the first year of the NEXT 30 years of our congregation’s mission: to transform ourselves, our community, and our world through the power of love; to embody a sanctuary of compassion, integrity, and respect; and to champion justice, equity, and peace.

Pledge what you can for the new year. Know that if your circumstances change, you can adjust your pledge. If you can give more, do so, knowing that you are contributing more in a time when others can contribute less.  Please visit https://www.nashvilleuu.org/pledge and pledge as generously as you are able.

Now is the time. This is your invitation.

To read this year’s pledge letter, click Invitation to Pledge.

Now Accepting Donations for the Live Auction and Intermission Events, Services, and Items plus Italian Lunch Food

We are now accepting Live Auction and Intermission Items, Events, and Services. We are accepting food donations for the Italian lunch as well.

For the Live Auction Items

For Live Auction items we need donations of the following:
-Hosted meals
-Sporting event tickets
-Music tickets (concert or symphony)
-Art gallery tickets
-Expensive digital devices
-Fine art or high-quality artisan items, and more!

A good indicator if an event or item is a good match for the Live Auction is if it can generate at least $75.

For the Intermission Items

For the Intermission Items, we need events with a set price that multiple people (at least 8-10+) can attend. The set price is usually $10 - $20.

Event Ideas:
-A Movie & Popcorn Night at GNUUC
-Hosting a Local Tour
-Hosting a Congregation Birthday Party
-Hosting a Park Picnic

For the artists out there, if you can create multiple items (at least 8-10+), all at a single set price of $10 - $20, they are a good fit as intermission items. They do not need to be unique but do need to be in the same genre. (Think Sandy’s birds from last year.)

Artisan Ideas:
-A set of paintings based on a theme
-A set of sculptures that fit in the same genre.
-All items are at a set price.

No Silent Auction

Remember - no silent auction items this year!

Do you have a favorite Italian food to share? Sign up to donate an appetizer, entree, salad, side, dessert, or beverage for eight people! We look forward to sharing.

NOAH Issues Convention is Saturday, May 20! Mark your calendars and sign-up to attend now!

Every three to four years, NOAH re-evaluates what issues it should be focusing on over the next several years by having a Listening Campaign among its member organizations, and then taking the issue areas that emerge from that to form a slate of issue areas to be presented and voted on by the membership at an Issues Convention. Sign up here to attend!

The Convention will take place on Saturday, May 20, from 3:00 to 5:30 pm at Greater Bethel AME Church, 1300 South St, Nashville, TN 37212. We will carpool from GNUUC, leaving around 2:00 pm to allow plenty of time for parking, signing in, and finding our place in the sanctuary. We will have one vote for each of us attending from GNUUC, up to a maximum of 10 votes, so be sure to indicate that you are from GNUUC when you sign in.
